Overall meaning : Allah Almighty mentions that the People of the Book are not all alike. Even though some of them are villainous with rather reprehensible conduct, there are some among them whom have embraced Islam and strictly adhere to the truth. They recite the Book of Allah in their prayers during the night, believe in Allah Almighty and the Last Day, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong and hasten to do good deeds. These, He stresses, are among the righteous. Any good they do will not go unrewarded, for Allah is fully aware of the pious who are mindful of Him, and He will reward them for their piety and virtue.
