Overall meaning : Mankind, fear your Lord and beware of His punishment by observing what He commands and avoiding what He forbids, for the horrors of the Day of Resurrection will be terrible indeed. The day you witness it, every nursing mother will utterly forget the baby at her breast due to the distress that will befell her, every pregnant female will miscarry her baby out of sheer terror, and you will see people reeling as though they were drunk although they will not be drunk; it is just that Allah’s torment will be extremely severe!
