Overall meaning : The Almighty says: Therefore, set your face and your purpose firmly, Muhammad, towards the pure faith that Allah has prescribed for you, and steadfastly adhere to it, worshipping Allah alone and turning away from associating others with Allah. Allah has made mankind naturally disposed to accept this pure faith of Islam, and Allah’s creation and design cannot be possibly altered. change should there be in Allah’s creation.
Set your face steadfastly towards Islam, which Allah has prescribed and approved, is the perfect religion without any crookedness or defects whatsoever, but most people do not know the true religion. Therefore, set your face, Muhammad and the believers with you, towards this religion, turn to Allah alone, and fear Him by doing what He commands and avoiding what He forbids. Duly perform the prescribed prayers and do not be of those who associate partners with Allah, those who have split up their religion and divided into sects, each exulting in what it has, thinking that it alone, to the exclusion of all else, follows the truth!
