Overall meaning : Allah Almighty says: Mention to the people, Muhammad, Abraham when he said to his people, ‘Worship Allah and fear Him by obeying His commands. That is better for you if you only knew. You only worship idols instead of Allah, which you make with your own hands and falsely call gods! The idols that you worship instead of Allah have no power to provide sustenance for you; therefore, seek your sustenance from Allah alone, worship Him and give thanks to Him. To Him alone will you all be returned on Resurrection Day.’
If you, people, deny what My Messenger Muhammad has brought you from your Lord, know that nations before you also denied the messengers who had been sent to them, and so Allah destroyed them. A messenger’s duty is only to deliver the message clearly to his people and does not have to achieve his results.
