Overall meaning : Pharaoh said to Haman, ‘Haman, build me a great and lofty tower, so I may reach the gates and pathways of the heavens leading to the god of Moses so I may see him. I am convinced Moses is a liar and that his claim that there is a god above the heavens is utterly false!’ Thus were Pharaoh’s evil deeds seem so alluring to him that he was turned away from the path of truth. Pharaoh’s evil scheming led to nothing but utter loss and ruin!
The believer from among Pharaoh’s family said, continuing his warnings and sincere advice, ‘Follow me, my people, and I will guide you to the path of truth. My people, this worldly life is but a brief enjoyment, but the life to come is the eternal abode. Those who do an evil deed in this life will be requited with no more than its like in the hereafter, but those who do good deeds while believing in Allah and His messengers, be they men or women, will enter Paradise in which they will be provided for without measure.’
