Overall meaning : We sent forth Moses, with our miracles and a compelling proof clearly showing the truth, to Pharaoh, his Chief Minister Haman and Korah (Qarun), but they all said, ‘Moses is a sorcerer and a liar!’ When Moses brought them the truth from Us, they threateningly said, ‘Kill the sons of those who share his faith, and spare only their daughters.’ But the evil scheming of the unbelievers is ever bound to fail!
Pharaoh said, ‘Let me kill Moses, and then let him call upon his Lord to protect him against me. I fear that if I leave him alone, he will change your religion by his magic or cause corruption to prevail in the land of Egypt!’ Moses replied, ‘I take refuge in my Lord and the Lord of you all from every arrogant person who does not believe in the Day of Resurrection.’
