Overall meaning : Almighty Allah points out that for those who do good in this life will receive a most excellent reward in the life to come, namely Paradise, and more besides, including the honour of looking at the Countenance of Allah, which will be the greatest of all pleasures; and neither dust nor disgrace will cover their faces. These will be the dwellers of Paradise in which they will abide for ever.
As for those who do evil deeds and disobey and disbelieve in Allah and His Messenger, they will have a recompense that will make them feel bitterly grieved and distressed commensurate with the evil deeds they have committed. Disgrace will cover their faces, and they will have none to protect them from Allah’s wrath and punishment. Their faces will be, due their intense blackness, as though they were covered with pieces from the depth of the darkness of night. These will be the dwellers of Hell in which they will remain for ever.
