Overall meaning : Among Allah’s signs bearing witness to His existence, oneness and power are the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. Do not prostrate yourselves, people, before the sun or the moon; rather, prostrate yourselves before Allah, who has created them if you truly worship Him alone.
If these idolaters arrogantly disdain to worship Allah alone, do not grieve at all, Muhammad, and leave them alone; for He has other obedient servants with Him—the angels—who glorify Him and declare Him free from all defects and imperfections night and day, without ever becoming weary of doing so.
Another of His signs testifying to His oneness and His power to resurrect the dead is that you see the land arid and barren, without any vegetation whatsoever, but when We send down rain water on it, it stirs and swells with life. The One who brings such barren land to life will surely give life to the dead on Resurrection Day. He has power over all things.
