Overall meaning : Indeed, man tends to transgress all bounds if his wealth grows and sees himself self-sufficient and rich because of whatever Allah has bestowed upon him! Surely to your Lord, Muhammad, all must return.
Have you seen the tyrant Abu Jahl who forbids you from praying, Muhammad? What if the servant forbidden from praying is rightly guided by praying to his Lord or enjoins others to be God-fearing?! How can he be forbidden from doing so?!
Have you seen, Muhammad, this tyrant who has denied the truth and stubbornly refused to follow it, does he not know that Allah is aware of him and is fully aware of everything he says and does? No indeed! If he does not desist from forbidding Muhammad from praying, We will drag him by the forelock in utter humiliation—such a lying forelock in its statements and sinful in its actions.
Let Abu Jahl, then, call his council among his people and clan to his assistance, We also will call the stern and mighty angels of punishment.
No indeed! Do not obey him, Muhammad, when he forbids you from praying, but continue to prostrate yourself before your Lord in your prayer and draw closer to Him.
