Overall meaning : Such great reward will be from your Lord—the Lord of the seven heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, the All-Merciful. No one will dare speak to Him on the Day of Resurrection except after His leave. On that day, Gabriel and the angels will stand in ranks in total submission before Him. None of them will speak except those to whom He will grant permission and who will say what is right and will be well pleasing to Him. Whoever, therefore, wishes to do righteous deeds and thus take the path leading back to his Lord should do so.
We have forewarned you, mankind, of an imminent punishment on Resurrection Day—the day on which every person will see all the deeds he has done in this life, and the unbeliever will regretfully say, ‘If only I were dust so that I may be spared punishment!’
