Overall meaning : The unbelieving Quraysh idolaters love this transitory life and entirely neglect the Day of Resurrection ahead of them—a heavy day that is full of terrors. It is We who have created them and strengthened and perfected their forms; and when We please, We will bring them back to life on Resurrection Day and restore their bodies and bring them back together, just as they were in the life of the world.
The verses of this surah are a reminder to people so that they may be admonished by them and take heed. Whoever, therefore, wishes to tread a path leading to Allah’s good pleasure—through faith, repentance and showing Him obedience—should do so. However, none of you, people, can will to follow the path of truth unless Allah so wills. Allah is the All-Knowing God, from whom nothing whatsoever is hidden, the All-Wise who places everything in its perfect place. He admits into His mercy whomever He wills of His servants, but for the wrongdoers He has prepared a painful punishment
