Overall meaning : Bear patiently your idolatrous people’s mockery and hurtful words, Muhammad, and take leave of them in a gracious manner without reproaching them or repaying evil with evil. Leave to Me, Muhammad, those who deny the truth, those who live a life of ease and enjoy the comforts of this life, and bear with them for a little while. We have in store for them heavy fetters and a blazing fire, food that chokes and a painful punishment, on the Day of Resurrection when the earth and the mountains will shake violently and the mountains will crumble into scattered sand!
