Overall meaning : Mosques are for Allah alone; do not, therefore, worship any of His creation in them besides Him.
When Allah’s Servant, Muhammad, rose to call upon Allah, the jinn gathered in groups around him, almost in heaps on top of one another, in their eagerness to listen to the true guidance he had brought.
Say, Muhammad, to the unbelievers, ‘I call only upon my Lord and worship none of His creation besides Him.’ Say, ‘It is not in my power to do you any harm or good or make you follow the right path.’ Say, ‘No one can ever protect me from Allah if He wills harm on me, nor can I ever find any refuge besides Him. I can do no more than deliver the message with which He has sent me.’
Those who disobey Allah and His Messenger with respect to His Oneness and worship will be in the Fire of Hell, in which they will abide for ever.
When the unbelievers see the punishment of which Allah has forewarned them, they will then find out whose helpers and supporters are weaker and smaller in number: they or the believers they used to mock in the worldly life?
